Senior Project
2008 Exhibition Invitation (PDF) A key feature of the Visual Studies major is the senior project, a year-long individual exploration of an aspect of vision. The senior project is the fifteenth credit of the major. Each senior is free to choose a topic. While the manner of presentation may vary (research essay, exhibition, installation, digital presentation, performance or combination of some or all), projects that are not research essays must be accompanied by a 15-20 page written record of their process including or accompanied by photo or video documentation of the final project, or a document of conceptual research. Each senior project must have two faculty advisors. They may be typically drawn from previous instructors, but must represent different fields and sectors. Thus, for example, if the first advisor represents a discipline located in sector B, the other advisor must come from either sector A or C. Fall 2008 Senior Seminar Syllabus coming soon. | |||
