This seminar will address issues of Indian sculpture in its architectural context as well as the procedures used to curate such sculptures in a museum. The course will be co-taught by Darielle Mason, the Stella Kramrisch Curator of Indian and Himalayan Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and some sessions of the seminar will meet at the PMA.
