Course Description

This survey class will examine the art and architecture of Crete, Mainland Greece, and the Cyclades during the Bronze Age.  Emphasis will be placed on the major civilization's palaces at Knossos, Mycenae and Tiryns.  In addition, the artistic styles and traditions of the Minoans, Mycenaeans and Cycladic peoples will be investigated.
