ARTH 521 Fall 1998 Professor Ann Brownlee Greek Vase-Painting

Description: An examination of the development of Greek vase-painting from the eighth to the fifth century B.C., with particular emphasis on the Archaic pottery of Athens and Corinth. The course will consist of lecture and discussion classes, which will meet in Jaffe 104. We will also meet from time to time in the Mediterranean Section of the Museum to work with vases in the collection.
