Course Description

This undergraduate seminar will be focused on a private collection of 18th and 19th century European prints, including works by Cezanne, Delacroix, Manet, Gauin and others. Along with studying some of the history of printmaking, students will be researching the objects in the collection and preparing them for a spring 2002 exhibition in the Arthur Ross Gallery. Student participation will be central to the curating and designing of the exhibition, along with the production of an accompanying brochure. This course will be of special relevance to students interested in the possibilities of museum and gallery careers.
